The study programme “Law”, implemented by the Faculty of Law at the University of Latvia, has been accredited for the maximum possible term — six years, until May 2031.

During the accreditation process, experts highly praised the quality of studies, the professionalism of the teaching staff, and the leadership of the UL Faculty of Law in the development of legal science in Latvia.

The expert report highlighted that the Faculty’s academic staff is composed of Latvia’s leading legal scholars, experienced practitioners, and successful alumni, collectively ensuring an outstanding learning environment. The diverse and highly qualified teaching team fosters student growth by combining academic knowledge with practical experience.

Students at the UL Faculty of Law benefit from a rich variety of learning experiences — from simulated court proceedings and legal clinics to a modern e-learning platform — offering a dynamic and practice-oriented education. These initiatives are carried out in close cooperation with leading national and international institutions.

The Faculty stands out for its responsiveness to societal needs, innovative study offerings in the field of law, and the high capacity of its academic staff.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone involved — lecturers, administrative staff, students, and cooperation partners — for their contribution to the accreditation process and for their ongoing work in implementing the study programme!
