Professional experience and achievements:
- Expert of the Latvian Council of Science in Legal Sciences, with expertise in the subfield of Theory of Criminalistics and Operational Activities;
- State Police of Latvia (1996–2014): served in various positions, including Police Inspector in the Public Order Police, Senior Inspector in the Criminal Police, Head of the Department for the Investigation of Serious and Particularly Serious Crimes, and, subsequently, Head of the Rēzekne Police Station;
- State Police College of Latvia (2007–2023): Lecturer;
- Daugavpils University: Senator of the Senate (2024–present); Associate Professor (2025–present); Director of two study programmes;
