On April 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM, the launch event for the book "Law Through the Ages: History, Values, State", dedicated to a significant life and work anniversary of Prof. Jānis Lazdiņš, will take place in the Conference Hall of the University of Latvia (UL) Faculty of Law.

The book has been created as a tribute to Professor Jānis Lazdiņš, honoring his contribution to legal science, legal history research, and academic work. The launch event will bring together the book's authors and representatives of the academic community, highlighting the interconnectedness of legal history, values, and the development of the state.

Event Programme

The event will be opened by Prof. Sanita Osipova and Assoc. Prof. Jānis Pleps, while the book’s scientific editor, Prof. Valdis Blūzma, will introduce the publication.
