At the end of March, Professors Annija Kārkliņa and Jānis Kārkliņš from the University of Latvia Faculty of Law delivered lectures to students at the University of Naples Federico II in Italy as part of the Erasmus+ mobility programme.

The University of Naples Federico II is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world. Founded in 1224, it is considered the first publicly funded university in the world. The University of Latvia Faculty of Law has developed long-standing and productive cooperation with this university in the academic and scientific fields.

During the mobility visit, our lecturers conducted classes for a wide range of bachelor’s and master’s students, offering insights into current legal issues:

Prof. Jānis Kārkliņš introduced students to current challenges in contract law.

Prof. Annija Kārkliņa delivered classes in constitutional law, including an analysis of Latvian and Italian constitutional law from a comparative law perspective.

This visit once again confirms the successful cooperation between the University of Latvia Faculty of Law and the University of Naples Federico II, promoting the exchange of experience between the two universities within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.
