2022. gada 29. septembrī no plkst. 14:30 līdz 18:00 LU Juridiskajā fakultātē notiks Polijas vieslektora Jakob Maziarz lekcija un darbnīca (workshop) par Polijas un Latvijas tiesību salīdzinājumu.

Vieslekcija un darbnīca veltīta divu valstu tiesību tradīciju līdzību un atšķirību analīzei. Vieslektors dr.iur. Jakob Maziarz ir pētnieks Jagaiļa Universitātes Juridiskās fakultātes Polijas tiesību vēstures katedrā, Sosnovecas apgabaltiesas tiesnesis. Pabeidzis pētniecības praksi Vīnes un Jēnas universitātēs.

Lekcija notiks 40. auditorijā (452. telpa, 4. stāvā). 

 


Jakob Maziarz, PhD in law, a researcher at the Department of the History of Polish Law at the Faculty of Law of the Jagiellonian University. In addition, a judge at the District Court in Sosnowiec. He completed research internships at the universities of Jena and Vienna, visiting professors at universities in Asia (Almaty, Samarkand). Research interests concern the organization of the judiciary, particularly the participation of the social factor in the judiciary and the disciplinary liability of judges.

Polish and Latvian legal experiences - similarities and differences - workshops devoted to the analysis of the similarities and differences in the legal traditions of two nearby countries with many similar (the time of democracy and authoritarianism in the interwar period) or shared (the period of the Commonwealth, the period of Russian occupation and the period of Sovietization) historical experiences. Classes will consist of two parts - a lecture and exercises, assuming interactions between the teacher and participants.
